Nicole is currently a second year student at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in the English Common Law section. She is pursuing the International Law designation. Nicole graduated from Wilfrid Laurier university in 2014 with a degree in Honours Political Science and a minor in Legal Studies. Nicole worked as a Teaching Assistant for introductory political science courses during her undergraduate degree at Wilfrid Laurier. During this time, Nicole also conducted research pertaining to innovative financing for the post-2015 Sustainable Development goals for the Academic Council on the United Nations System (ACUNS). Last summer she worked in Ukraine at Patriot Defence, an NGO launched as a humanitarian initiative following the Revolution of Dignity and annexation of Crimea. Nicole is interested in emergency crisis relief, specifically legal barriers to humanitarian intervention.
