On April 1st, GSL Director Steven Hoffman will be delivering a public talk at McMaster University from 12:30-2:30pm. Antimicrobial resistance causes approximately 700,000 deaths annually - and without effective action - is predicted to cause 10 million deaths annually by 2050. The effective control of antimicrobial resistance is hindered by many complex factors, including inappropriate medicines, poor surveillance, limited treatment options, and a lack of government to address these issues. Professor Hoffman will cover the actions that must be taken to address this serious threat to global health security. You can find more about Professor Hoffman’s planned talk here.
If you are planning to attend, please RSVP to email@example.com with 'Superbugs' in the subject line by Thursday March 31st.
