GSL’s article titled “Assessing Proposals for New Global Health Treaties: An Analytic Framework” was recently cited by The Lancet Commission on the Global Syndemic of Obesity, Undernutrition and Climate Change. The article, written by Steven Hoffman, John-Arne Rottingen and Julio Frenk, puts forth an analytic framework and four criteria for assessing the value of new global health treaties. In the Lancet report, the commissioners call for a “Framework Convention on Food Systems,” which they believe would meet the criteria set out in GSL’s article.
