Ali Tejpar is currently a Juris Doctor and Master of Arts dual-degree candidate with the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa and the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University. He previously completed his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Global Development Studies and Politics at Queen's University with a first-place academic ranking. His research interests include international law, global governance, and international development. Ali's previous academic publications focus on topics ranging from private international aid regimes to empowerment-based HIV-prevention strategies in Indian female sex worker communities. Currently as a GSL Research Assistant he is working on a project examining international law and its role in promoting mental health.
