Gigi Lin is a Data Analyst with the Global Strategy Lab. She graduated with a Master of Arts from the University of Toronto, and a Joint Bachelors in Finance and Economics from Simon Fraser University. To combine her newfound interest in health economics and love for econometrics, she chose to use co-integration methods for her MA metrics term paper in studying the long-run effects of income inequality on longevity. Through long hours familiarizing herself with time-series data, hard computing, and literature reviews on health economics, Gigi developed a passion for big data methods. She plans to apply her learnings in supporting research projects that uncover and explain casual effects between different health-related variables - with the aim to grow her knowledge in the field of global legal epidemiology, and be challenged in acquiring new techniques using data and quantitative analysis in supporting GSL. In her spare time, you can find Gigi exploring the greenery in Toronto, playing squash, or (attempting) to bake.
