Kevin Sachs

Research Fellow, Global Strategy Lab
Kevin was born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland, but now calls Toronto his permanent home. Before coming to Canada, Kevin worked as a staff writer, correspondent, and producer for Switzerland's national public broadcaster (SRF) in Switzerland and the Middle East. In Toronto, he has worked in the international film and television industry, corporate learning, and as an independent writer and editor. His contributions have been featured in Süddeutsche Zeitung, Tagesanzeiger, Haaretz, DINE, and AWE Magazine.

Kevin graduated with an MSc in European Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where his research focused on migration, identity, public policy, and human rights. Upon completion of his degree, Kevin's quantitative research study on how attitudes towards Europe influence voting behaviour in Swiss elections was awarded the Leonard Woolf Prize for Best Dissertation at the school's European Institute. He also holds a BA in Political Science, Law and Ethics from the University of Zurich.

In his spare time, Kevin is a mentor in Toronto's Big Brother Big Sister program and a steering committee member for Heart to Heart, a charity bringing Israeli and Palestinian youth to a leadership camp in Canada every summer. Other than that, you'll find him cooking, playing tennis, or keeping up with the latest TV shows, movies, podcasts, or books.
