Lauren Geenen is in her second year of the Common Law program at the University of Ottawa. She completed her undergraduate degree at Queen’s University in classical history and art history. Lauren’s interest in health and the law began in her final years at Queen’s while acting as co-chair of a volunteer group who assisted the elderly. She pursued this interest at U of O acting as a research assistant to Professor Vanessa Gruben conducting international research regarding cuts to the Interim Federal Health Plan. Lauren is the President of the Health Law Student’s Association. She can be found at the park with her dog, trying new restaurants in Ottawa and skating at the Rideau Canal.
