Yi Li received her undergraduate degree in Accounting at Beijing Language and Culture University. Afterwards she completed her Masters thesis on the relationship between public participation, social issues, and installation artworks created by Christo and Heanne-Claude, after which she received her Masters degree in Art at China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, China. She has also had three years of professional training in exhibition curating at China Academy of Art.
Yi has participated in developing several different exhibitions, such as “The World of Splash Ink: Painting and Calligraphy by Professor FAN Zeng” held by the Museum of University of Alberta in October 2013, “2013 Hangzhou Fiber Art Triennial Exhibition” from November 2012 to May 2013 in Hangzhou, “9th Shanghai Biennale--Reactivation” in October 2012 in Shanghai, and “Graduation Exhibition of School of Inter-Media Art of China Academy of Art” in July 2012 in Hangzhou.
Yi's research interests focus on the interactions between art activities and social engagements, and is a part of GSL's i4C research team.
