Wojciech Copija is currently completing a JD degree in Common Law at the University of Ottawa. His academic background includes a B.Sc. in Biochemistry (Honours), a B.A. in English (Honours), as well as an M.A. in English with a research focus on postmodern American literature. Complementing his academic pursuits, he has ten years of professional experience as a professor of technical writing at the University of Ottawa and at Algonquin College, and as a researcher and policy analyst with the Public Service Commission and with Statistics Canada. His research interests include the burgeoning intersections between global health law and policy, access to medical technologies, and international trade and development. As a student fellow with the Global Strategy Lab, he is looking forward to reviewing Canada’s evolving role in global health and access to medicines, in addition to exploring the multiform challenges facing legal practitioners as they work to respond to global health crises.
